About HuntIQ
HuntIQ was built around one of the hardest parts of deer hunting: following the evidence after the shot. Its central feature is a camera-based Blood Tracker designed to help bowhunters and firearm hunters notice difficult-to-see red and pink blood evidence.
Why HuntIQ Exists
Bowhunters in particular often face small entrance wounds, intermittent blood trails, and uncertain shot angles. A hunter may also be uncertain about waiting time, the meaning of different blood colors, or the safest way to preserve the route already traveled. HuntIQ is designed to provide useful guidance during those moments for compound bow hunters, traditional bowhunters, crossbow hunters, muzzleloader hunters, and rifle hunters.
Blood Tracker
The Blood Tracker uses the phone camera to reduce much of the background to grayscale while attempting to preserve and emphasize possible red and pink blood evidence. It is designed to assist the hunter's eyes, not replace them.
Shot Analyzer
The Shot Analyzer gives general guidance based on the apparent hit area selected by the hunter. It may provide estimated waiting-time guidance, expected deer behavior, and a general recovery outlook.
Trail Maker
Trail Maker records the route traveled during a tracking attempt and can help the hunter avoid repeatedly searching the same ground or losing the path back out.
Additional Tools
HuntIQ also includes hunting maps, Hunter Weather, Rut Reports, Whitetail Atlas, and Field to Freezer processing guidance.
Honest Expectations
HuntIQ does not claim to be perfect. It cannot guarantee that a wounded deer will be recovered. It cannot replace a hunter's judgment, careful inspection of physical evidence, safe hunting practices, legal compliance, or a trained tracking dog when one is necessary.
